- Wemade and Mgame to cooperate in blockchain business
- The synergy effect of Wemix platform and popular Mgame IPs expected
Wemade and Mgame signed an MOU for blockchain business partnership.
Mgame, founded in 1999, is a first-generation game company that develops and services games for various platforms such as PC online game Yulgang Online, Hero Online, Knight Online, and Ghost, and mobiles games Real Yulhulgangho Mobile and Immortal.
They selected blockchain as their next generation platform, and have launched 4 EOS-based blockchain games since 2019. They also presented games through different blockchain platforms; an NFT game Princess Maker for Klaytn was released in 2020 an idle RPG game Ghost for Klaytn was tested.
Mgame, which is continuously researching and developing to strengthen technological capabilities in the blockchain field, plans to actively cooperate with WEMIX by using various popular IPs like MMORPG.
Wemade presented a P&E(Play and Earn) paradigm where you can play games and earn assets. WEMIX has been collaborating with many developers in order to service 100 games that use Wemix tokens as the key currency by the end of this year.
Mgame CEO Yi-Hyeong Kwon said, “I’m very excited to have signed a business contract with Wemade, a leading blockchain platform. When Mgame, which has accumulated development experiences and various knowledge through many blockchain game development and services, joins WEMIX, the synergy between two companies will further maximize.” He also added that “by utilizing Wemade’s WEMIX platform, Mgame is open to various possibilities in the blockchain field such as P&E and NFT and is expected to expand the business even further.”
