WEMIX team made a strategic investment in U.S. based blockchain startup IoTeX.
IoTeX is a U.S. based startup founded in 2017, and is actively developing a blockchain platform that connects with real world devices and applications.
The founders’ have worked at Google, Facebook, Uber, Bosch and other leading IT/hardware firms. IoTeX’s core business is blockchain oriented and is a pioneer in ‘Machine-Fi’ based product and blockchain development.
‘Machine-Fi’ refers to blockchain technology that connects real world devices and applications with the virtual world and contributors can earn financial gains by participating. For example, by connecting real life products such as wearables, autonomous vehicles, 3D printers, smart devices/IoT (Internet-of-Things) to a blockchain platform, participants will be rewarded financially.
In the near future, as traditional finance evolved into DeFi, culture and art transitioned to NFT, and influencers are shifting toward Social-Fi, IoTeX plans to launch Machine-Fi based products which are technologically superior relative to the IoT products available in the market today.
Through this investment, WEMIX team will investigate new blockchain-based business opportunities made possible through the collaboration with IoTeX.
