WEMIX joined OFR’s (Old Fashion Research) fundraising round as a lead investor.
Wemade will be launching its own mainnet platform, WEMIX3.0, as well as stablecoins, various NFT and DeFi services. With many blockchain investments and strategic partnerships, it is expanding its business at a fast pace.
OFR, founded by former Binance senior executives, invested in over 50 blockchain projects and created a portfolio across various blockchain ecosystems.
Ling Zhang, the former Vice President of M&A and Investments at Binance, led acquisitions and strategic investments, including FTX, WazirX, Swipe.io, Multicoin Capital, Tokocrypto, Chiliz, CertiK and others.
Wayne Fu also leads OFR as a Managing Partner. The former Head of Corporate Development at Binance, brings his broad experience and knowledge in exchange and ecosystem partnerships to OFR.
Jiang Xin, who was in charge of Binance Labs’ and Launchpad and led investment deals such as Axie Infinity, Moonbeam, Alpha Finance and others, is leading the Venture part.
Wei Zhou, the former CFO at Binance and member at Goldman Sach, will be the strategic investor of OFR. He is also the CEO at Coins.ph, the largest government-approved crypto wallet and exchange in the Philippines. Through this investment, WEMIX will continue to expand its blockchain business in the SEA region.
“Our team, which has already issued a utility coin called WEMIX, will launch its own mainnet WEMIX3.0, based on 100% fully collateralized stablecoin WEMIX Dollar. The platform will have a complete set of DAO, NFT and DeFi,” said Henry Chang, CEO of Wemade. “We will continue to invest in projects that have great potential like OFR to expand the WEMIX ecosystem.”
