Wemade Tree Participates In ESG Management Through NFT Auction with Artist Yoyojin
- All proceeds will be donated to a marine mammal advocacy group, the artist says

‘Glaglagoichiye — Dolphins to the Sea’. Wemade Tree, a blockchain subsidiary of Wemade, is hosting an auction for a digital art made by artist Yoyojin on its NFT auction platform, WEMIX NFT Auction. Yoyojin created the artwork as a cover image for ‘Glaglagoichiye — Dolphins to the Sea’, a digital single by hip hop musician, MC Seimo. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Hot Pink Dolphins, a marine mammal advocacy group.
Amid growing calls for corporate ESG(Environmental, Social, Governance) responsibilities, Wemade Tree has called this event a unique match of NFT and ESG.
Dolphins have long been adored by humans; but living in captivity can cause major stress for the mammals, and the life expectancy of those in captivity decreases drastically compared to those living in nature.
Hot Pink Dolphins, founded in 2011, is campaigning to return the dolphins and whales held in aquariums to the sea. MC Seimo took two Jeju words, ‘gla’(let’s go) and ‘gochi’(together) to name the song for the cause; ‘Glaglagoichiye — Dolphins to the Sea’, urging the return of the cetaceans.
Yoyojin, who spent nine years in Zambia after being dispatched by UNESCO, has engaged in various creative activities, including HIV/AIDS awareness works. “To make this world a better place, I want to support people who are already making a difference, rather than thinking that only I alone can change the world,” Yoyojin said.
“The piece features dolphins’ favored toys such as clams, seaweed, starfish, and bubbles; also there are friends in the background to keep the dolphin’s company,” Yoyojin explained.
Auction for ‘Glaglagoichiye — Dolphins to the Sea’ will be held from 6PM, July 19 to 9PM, July 21 on WEMIX NFT Auction(KST). Artists Yongoh Kim, who held private exhibitions at local and global venues and worked with corporates including Nike and Samsung, and Joi Ham, who tells stories of daily life through unique and fantastic colors, are also participating in the auction.
