- Wemade invests in ClaimSwap after announcing the launch of KLEVA and WEMIX based staking, further accelerating the expansion of Klaytn-based DeFi ecosystem
Wemade announced a strategic investment in ClaimSwap, a new Klaytn-based DeFi service.
ClaimSwap, a DeFi protocol launching this December, supports Klaytn-based cryptocurrency trading in a decentralized environment. Participants can provide liquidity for crypto trading, and receive CLA, a governance token that allows its holders to participate in the protocol’s operation and policy making.
Wemade is already focused on the blockchain sector, including gaming, metaverse, NFT, and DeFi, and aims to accelerate the expansion of the DeFi ecosystem with this investment. The company already announced the impending launch of KLEVA, which is the first leveraged yield farming DeFi service on Klaytn, and WEMIX based staking, where participants can stake their WEMIX Tokens in the WEMIX Wallet and earn WEMIX Tokens as a reward, with both services launching prior to year end.
“Just like UniSwap and SushiSwap explosively expanded the Ethereum ecosystem, we expect the Klaytn based ecosystem to grow further after ClaimSwap’s launch,” ClaimSwap insider said. “We will actively find ways to cooperate with Wemade’s DeFi service to create a synergistic effect.”
“DeFi is expected to see explosive growth, and this investment will help realize the sector’s full potential,” said Henry Chang, CEO of Wemade. “We’ve already built out the WEMIX ecosystem, which consists of gaming, tokens, NFT, DeFi and we will expand the ecosystem’s scope at an accelerated pace.”
The two parties will seek ways to cooperate in accelerating the development of the blockchain industry in the long term.
