“Wemade Announces That KLEVA Issue Was an Error In Update Test”
- No hacking involved — a glitch during the update test
- Most of the amount has been retrieved, the whole amount recovered
- Checking all services to prevent recurrence
Wemade made an announcement about the KLEVA protocol incident that happened on 27th (Thurs) and presented a response plan.
KLEVA proceeded with the Farming update test at 7:28 pm on the 27th. During this process, an error occurred in which excessive interest was paid for a certain deposited asset.
Upon detecting the error, KLEVA took immediate action to prevent further damage, such as withdrawal restrictions, and recovery of excessive interest that had been distributed to two accounts.
99.41% of the funds have already been retrieved and 100% including transaction fee during the retrieval process will be recovered soon.
“I’d like to apologize for the unexpected incident,” said Henry Chang, CEO of Wemade. “The incident has been solved and we’re looking for a way to prevent the recurrence of the issue. As the service is under Wemade’s name, we will do everything to provide a pleasant experience to all.”
