Wemade and Webzen agreed to join forces on the WEMIX platform business and signed on MOU.
Webzen, founded in 2000, has been concentrating on the game business for more than two decades. Its Mu Online, the first full-3D PC online game, helped popularize the Korean game industry, and it has released unique PC online games including S.U.N.(Soul of the Ultimate Nation: Limited Edition), R2(Reign of Revolution), and C9(Continent of the Ninth Seal) continuously.
Mu Origin series has led the mobile MMORPG market, and ‘R2M’ was also a big commercial success. Webzen’s user base stretches from PC to mobile platforms.
Wemade recently introduced the paradigm of P&E(Play and Earn), where users earn resources while enjoying game-play. The goal is to service 100 games whose key currency is the WEMIX Token prior to 2022 year-end. Cooperating games and services of all genres, Wemade is aggressively pursuing the expansion of the WEMIX ecosystem.
Wemade plans to build the foundation on which companies can grow together within the WEMIX platform; the goal of the MOU with Webzen is to strengthen the WEMIX lineup.
