Wemade Tree, a blockchain company, and NHN signed an MOU. Wide spectrum of services and contents over the global IT industry operated by NHN will be utilized, including games, which will be on-boarded and serviced on blockchain platform WEMIX.
Wemade Tree is serving blockchain games on its blockchain platform, WEMIX. Users can exchange WEMIX Token, its key currency, with game tokens on WEMIX Wallet. Also, NFTs can be stored and traded on the wallet. Wemade’s ‘MIR4’ Global, added on the platform recently, has become a smash hit worldwide.
NHN, one of Korea’s premier game portals, is focusing on rebuilding Hangame’s former glory as the webboard powerhouse, while releasing new titles such as ‘GUNS UP! Mobile’ and ‘Dragon Quest Keshi Keshi’ within the year.
Both parties agreed upon applying blockchain technology to NHN’s various games and contents and servicing them on the WEMIX platform. Moreover, a strategic partnership in overall blockchain business, utilizing the two companies’ resources, is planned.
Agreement to cooperate on the game sector was reportedly made, though which NHN game will be made into a blockchain version has yet to be announced. The two parties are also discussing which parts of NHN’s wide spectrum of business Wemade Tree’s blockchain technology and platform would be applied to.
